Staying Relevant in a Multi-Cloud World

In today’s fast-moving multi-cloud world, failure to keep up means you’re probably getting left behind.

But it’s not too late! Our upcoming conference, Rackspace::Solve New York, is focused specifically on companies that have found ways to maintain a competitive edge in today’s emerging world of multiple clouds.

The conference is an excellent opportunity to get an inside look at the IT strategy, solutions and deployments of fast-growing companies, including some of our most innovative customers and partners.

It’s also a great place to learn about the types of disruption taking place across a number of industries today, and the ways businesses are disrupting themselves before they too can be disrupted.

From building a business case and planning for cloud migrations to finding the right expertise for managing multiple clouds, our customers teach us a lot about the current trends and pain points they’re experiencing as they adopt new cloud technologies.

At Solve, they share their experiences and insights about how they’ve kept pace with competitors and customer needs, taken advantage of cutting edge technologies and continued building expertise in a rapidly changing landscape. Plus, our specialists and partners are always on-hand to hear about your challenges, discuss possible solutions, and help answer questions.

The day-long conference kicks off July 18 in Manhattan with featured speakers, breakout sessions and our renowned solutions pavilion, where attendees can get one-on-one advice from Rackspace experts and our partners for a wide array of technology platforms.

The list of featured speakers begins with Dan Cobley, the former managing director of Google in the UK and Ireland who now leads the FinTech portfolio for Blenheim Chalcot, a long-established London venture builder. He will speak about the digital transformation journey, why it’s far from over and how competitive companies must harness innovation to stay on top.

Later in the day, an IT Leadership Panel comprised of Google’s Director of Customer Reliability Engineering Dave Rensin, Pivotal Software’s Vice President of Products, Ian Andrews,  and Home Depot’s Manager of Application Platforms Tony McCulley will join Rackspace CTO, John Engates, to speak about “Innovation in the Digital Age.”

Theoretical physicist and best-selling author Dr. Michio Kaku, one of the most widely recognized scientific figures in the world, will close out the day’s featured speaker slots. Dr. Kaku is an internationally recognized authority on Einstein’s unified field theory — which he is attempting to complete —and the trends affecting business, commerce and finance based on the latest research in science.

He will present his session, “The Next 20 Years: How Science and Technology Are Revolutionizing Business and Our Way of Life,” to round out the day-long schedule of featured speakers and break-out sessions. Click here for a full list of speakers and sessions at this year’s Solve.

Also worth noting is our Thought Leadership Panel, which will take place later in the day and cover “Transforming Traditional Businesses.” Panel speakers will include Rackspace CMO Carla Piñeyro Sublett, New York Times EVP and COO Meredith Kopit Levien, Medecision CTO Bill Adiletta, and Aeromexico CIO Benjamin Hernandez.
