Cloud Predictions and Trends: Kicking Off Solve San Francisco
RackBlogger
Rackspace::Solve kicks off today in downtown San Francisco with a full day of featured speakers and breakout sessions geared towards solving tough business and IT challenges using the cloud.
Solve conferences are excellent opportunities to learn how industry experts—including our most innovative customers and partners— are using the cloud to scale their businesses, speed time to market and reduce cost.
Throughout the day, attendees will get an inside look at the strategies and solutions being used by fast-growing companies. Speakers and session leaders will share practical, real-world solutions for challenges such as cloud security, big data and optimizing multiple cloud deployments.
In between sessions and during breaks, attendees can visit the Rackspace Solutions Pavilion, where they’ll be able to get one-on-one advice from Rackspace specialists and partners on topics such as OpenStack private cloud (as well as public and hybrid cloud), Fanatical Support for Amazon Web Services, Fanatical Support for Microsoft Azure and Cloud Office, just to name a few.
Speaker sessions will begin with Rackspace SVP of Strategy and Product Scott Crenshaw, who will deliver the keynote, followed by Shadrach Kisten, SVP of information technology and digital media engineering at Sesame Street, who will speak about ways his organization has leveraged Fanatical Support for AWS to help more children grow and learn important skills. Additional speakers will offer their predictions on where the cloud is going and the direction it's taking businesses in.
The full schedule of speakers and breakout sessions can be viewed here, as well as more information about our partners and sponsors, who help make Solve possible.
In addition to helping companies harness the power of the cloud, Rackspace is also committed to fostering social empowerment, and we’ll be donating $15 per attendee (up to $5,000) to Girls Who Code, a national non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology. Representatives from Girls Who Code will also be available at the Solutions Pavilion.
