Global report shows how IT leaders are struggling with multiple cybersecurity challenges.

Cybersecurity has always been critical, but it’s taken on new urgency as the number and intensity of cyberattacks have escalated. Further, modern IT challenges include remote work, a skills shortage and cloud modernization.

To gauge organizations’ current security posture, Rackspace Technology® conducted a global survey of 1,420 IT professionals in 10 countries and multiple industries.

A cautionary tale emerged from the data: Half of global IT leaders say they’re not “fully confident” in their ability to respond to attacks on data, supply chains, clouds, IoT and applications.

Additional findings include:

• Only 45% of respondents say they can effectively respond to incidents
• Only 43% are prepared to mitigate threats
• Only 42% understand the nature of the threats they’re facing
