About The Game

During the AWS GameDay - The New Frontier, you'll be playing the role of a new hire at a fast-growing [fictitious] startup called Unicorn.Rentals. Your mission is to deploy and scale an infrastructure for production under tight deadlines, despite minimal documentation and direction, along with a large media event scheduled for later in the day. You'll face technical challenges related to AI/ML, data consolidation, data stream processing, security, IoT, CI/CD, and more as you work with AWS services such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon S3, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, and many others. 

This is a 100% hands-on event, and you'll be working extensively in the AWS Console. There are no step-by-step instructions, so be prepared to decide your own path forward with ambiguous direction. Come with an open mind to try new things, and be well-rested to support your fellow teammates. To prepare for the event, you can quickly get up to speed with our architecture and processes by checking out the AWS Getting Started tutorials, exploring the AWS Architecture Center, and visiting the AWS GameDay website.
