Rackspace Technology Expands Its Professional Services Footprint in Europe with Bright Skies Acquisition

The growing shift toward cloud native development and increasing demand for professional services has surged in Europe. Rackspace Technology®, through its acquisition of Bright Skies GmbH, has further strengthened its position to serve customers in Europe and across the world with its superior cloud native professional services capabilities.

This acquisition gives more than 500 Bright Skies customers — spanning all major industry verticals, including financial services, insurance and media — complete access to Rackspace Technology services. It also adds several certifications to the Rackspace Technology portfolio: Bright Skies is a certified Microsoft Partner with 16 Microsoft competencies, 14 of which are gold. 

With more than 55 cloud technology experts stationed across Hamburg, Dresden, Mannheim and Cologne, organizations in the region will have greater access to professional services for data platforms, data analytics, DevOps, application development, cloud platform management, data center modernization, and small and mid-market cloud solutions and security. This acquisition also benefits Bright Skies customers by providing access to Rackspace Elastic Engineering solutions, Rackspace Services for VMware, and global expertise and support in end-to-end multicloud solutions.

Current Rackspace Technology customers will gain from access to expertise in several of the technology domains in which Bright Skies operates, including cloud transformation, managed cloud services, hybrid cloud management and digital innovations that incorporate AI, machine learning, cognitive services, big data, blockchain and automation.
